Just For Fun - Pregnancy Progress Report

I have seen a couple of these progress reports from friends. I think they are fun! I will try and do one here and there!

How far along? 29 weeks 4 days
Total weight gain: 19 lbs (DON'T JUDGE ME)
Maternity clothes? Yes. It is very sad when I still think I can fit into a normal shirt and it is not even CLOSE to fitting lol
Stretch marks? No, thank you JESUS
Sleep: Not great. I get up 2-3 times a night to pee and I have a lower, right back pain. My snoogle pillow helps though!

Best moment this week: Just feeling Baby C wiggle wiggle wiggle. Thursday I have an ultrasound...can't wait!
Miss Anything? Sushi, being skinny, and being tan. You know...mostly vain stuff!
Movement: Yes. She is a wild woman. Not once have I had to panic about feeling her move. I love it.
Food cravings: Fried dough, which my wonderful mother made me last weekend. I want more.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not eating...go figure.

Gender: Girl/ladybug!
Labor Signs: No. Not that I would even know what to look for. Clueless mom right here.
Symptoms: Peeing all day long. I live in the bathroom. Tired and a little nauseous here and there. Mostly just tired.

Belly Button in or out? Out and it is offensive!

Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, but when I have a mood swing it is intense. Just ask Matt :)
Looking forward to: Seeing her face for the first time. I dream about her constantly <3

Ladybug's Nursery - The Start

We ordered our baby furniture over Christmas break, and had it delivered a couple of weeks ago. I LOVE the way it all looks in the room. I can't wait to put Baby C in her crib!! The furniture brand is Munire, and the crib will convert to a full size bed when she is older. My sister-in-law has the same brand and had all good things to say about it. I was very excited The Baby Furniture Warehouse in Reading carried the brand. This should last her a long time.

Here are some pictures of the furniture all set up. And no, Matt did not put it together haha! We had it delivered and put together...the fee was totally worth it. Especially if you know the two of us and putting things together!

Glider. Can't wait to rock her!
I think I am also going through a little nesting phase, because as soon as the furniture came I was gung-ho on completing the stencils in her room. I ordered these stencils offline, I think they were called Bugs and Blossoms or something like that. It had ladybugs, so hell yes I bought them! The concept is simple...you stick the stencil on the wall, paint within the lines, let it dry for a few minutes and peel off the stencil. FALSE. They forgot the part about the paint ripping off your wall when taking the damn stencil off. So a lot of time was spent touching up paint, and perfecting the paint. Well worth it though. I think her accent walls came out pretty great! Matt and I worked so hard on this, and every time we go in her room we are so proud! Pics below :)

Last but not least, here are some baby bump pics. She is a real wiggle worm. At 29 1/2 weeks I can tell how big she is getting now that I can feel her little feet and elbows pressing from all angles! I do love her!

There is a ninja in my belly!

I have not blogged in a while...I have been slacking big time! Over the past month Matt and I have been busy thinking about and planning the baby room theme. Of course it will be ladybug central in there! And to make it ridiculously challenging I picked a purple ladybug theme. Do you know how hard it is to find purple ladybug anything!? Ridiculous. Matt always says "it's because there is no such thing as a purple ladybug!". I tell him there is now baby! I searched high and low for purple ladybug bedding and finally found the perfect set at Sears. I can't even tell you the last time I was in Sears, but thats where I found it! Go figure. We also ordered a ladybug and butterfly wall stencil kit, which we will paint in the next couple of weeks. It is just the cutest! I'm going to put the wall art (as it's called) on one of the walls in her room...kind of like a little accent wall. We also ordered her furniture and it will be delivered next Saturday! All but the rocker..which should be in soon. I can't wait to see her stuff all set up. Makes this whole "having a baby" thing even more real! We even bought diapers today since we had a coupon. They are up in her room as we speak. :) I can't believe her butt will be that small!

Here are some long overdue baby bump pictures. I am in full on maternity clothes now which are straight up heavenly. I suggest everyone wear maternity pants forever. I don't know how I will ever go back to buttons and zippers!

Here are more pictures of some outfits we have gotten or been given! They are all so SO cute. I can't wait to put her in all her outfits!

Mommy bought her this tutu...obvi!

A friend from Dallas made the baby hat and sent her these adorable outfits!

Her hat and headband collection is growing! Look at the pom pom socks...hilarious!

Baby C kicks like a little maniac. Matt can feel her kicking (or punching) and we can see her actually move my stomach. It cracks us up. The best is when I am in a work meeting and she starts spaz-ing out. Trying to ignore baby kicks is impossible. I can't help but smile EVERY time. People at work must think i'm either hitting on them or certifiably insane. I am also getting a lot of belly touches. From friends and family I'm totally ok with this...from randos I am ooged out! I take it in stride though! They mean well. At least they are not lifting my shirt!

Once we have the baby furniture set up I will start posting more about the nursery. We can't wait to see Baby C! Imagining what she will look like is fun...but nothing will compare to seeing her little squirming body once she is here! She is going to look like a little tan Italian, I can just tell! Hopefully she has Matt's eyes...and athletic abilities! We will just have to wait and see. 15 weeks left until our due date! Come oooon Baby C!

Our little ladybug!

I posted last week on facebook how we found out we are having a GIRL! I had mostly boy dreams, so I thought there was a little boy in there...but nope! She is all girl! When I first got pregnant I was thinking of baby rooms, and how if I had a girl I wanted a ladybug theme for her room. One day there was a ladybug on my windshield...then I found a ladybug on my deck a week later. That was the only time I thought "is this a sign!?" Am I having a girl? I guess it was a little sign!

Our plan was to open the envelope our ultrasound tech so nicely wrote the sex in on Christmas. That lasted all about 30 minutes. Matt had to know, and I broke fast. He read the picture that said "GIRL" to me and I was in total shock. BEST shock of my life...of our lives really. We are both over the moon happy and very very thankful for our little ladybug!

Also, as far as feeling her move, I have felt little flutters since I was around 15 weeks. In the past week and a half I can feel her jab and kick...the feelings are so much stronger. Matt has not been able to feel yet, but it is so close! We try to see if she will kick extra hard for him almost every night. I bet in the next week of so we will have a success story!

I am posting some pictures from my last couple of ultrasounds. I had my anatomy scan ultrasound today that my mom was able to come to since Matt had to work. Ladybug was moving all around and kicking her little legs. She is the cutest!

It's a GIRL!! Look at those little butt cheeks.

Sitting Indian style.

Profile view. Her mouth is open. And you can see her little nose!

This is her leg. She is grabbing her ankle! (Leg is bent)

Holy scary face. Mouth is wide open and you can see her eyeball! She is yelling...she is so my kid.

The ultrasound tech made this one for Matt. He wanted to double check she was still a girl since we found out last week LOL!

Here are some baby bump pictures. :) I totally creep in my work bathroom.

Last but not least....a little TMI for those who care. My placenta rose and is in a normal spot. No more increased risk of a c-section, which is nice. Still not a guarantee, but at least I have a shot! I will be taking the epidural too...if I could get that the day before my due date that would be great. Ha!

Boston visit :)

Matt's parents came to town this past weekend and we had the BEST time with them! They got to see (and stay of course) at the new house, which was perfect timing. The last time they were in Boston was for our weekend 2 1/2 years ago! We could not have asked for better weather...no snow and sunny skies! It was a little cool, but hey that is what fall on the east coast is like! No 90 degree Dallas temps here. :)

We went into the North End with my parents to this really awesome Italian restaurant. Then went on to a pastry place that had huge desserts! Here are some pictures of Mom with a huge lobster tail she ate all by herself. She wouldn't share, can you believe that! Kidding ;) I know she is cringing while reading this haha!

Here are some pictures of all of us at a teeny tiny table at the pastry place. It was PACKED. We got cannolis too. The amount of food we ate all weekend was ridic. Can you pick out the Italians in these pics??? haha And my Dad with that face. He thinks he is hilarious.

We also went to the beach for some lobster rolls one afternoon. And one night my mom made a huge meal that we all thought we were going to die at because we ate so much. My mom is a great cook...not sure where I came from. I get my cooking skills from my dad...aka no cooking skills LOL.

Here are some pictures of Matt and his mom and dad. Such a nice day out! We had such a great time and can't wait to see everyone on the Collar side at Thanksgiving in Colorado!

Long lost house pictures!

The house has taken the back burner as far as blog posts go! Baby C really took over like the wild child it is. We have been putting some finishing touches on our house and I have taken some pictures of the progress. This past weekend Matt's parents were in town and Dad helped us put up all of our door stoppers, decorative shelves AND toilet paper holders! Until you have no toilet paper holders, you do not realize how awesome they are. Sad reality.

Anyways! I thought I would post some pictures of the house. We are absolutely loving homeowner life! Life is very good to us. :)
Finally got an ottoman/coffee table. Also added some shelves behind the couch and an area rug! Love those.

Curtains for the windows in the table room and living room. Curtains do wonders for a room.

Out bedroom. Still needs more on the walls.

All of my china is in that buffet. Morgie snuck in for an appearance.

Lovemuffins!

Study/guest room. Needs some major work. A desk would probably be a good idea HA

Guest room.

Different view of guest room.

Baby room!
As you can see we still have a ways to go with decorating. But it is coming along! I will post more pictures as we finish more rooms. :)
